John McFaul
John McFaul is a Graphic Designer located in Bristol. He owns his own studio called McFaul Studio. They have done work for companies such as Nokia, Audi, Vodafone, Nike, Livis and Playstation. Their work is colourful and eye catching, which is probably the reason why their work is doing so well in the advertising world.
Vault 49
I have slightly changed my idea. I will allow 60 minutes to photograph whatever comes to hand around the house. After 60 minutes I will stop and gather all the photographs of the objects collected and make an illustration from them all.
My aim is to make a vault 49 style illustration. Vault 49 are a company in New York that mix photography and illustration. Below are some of their work that stands out for me.
60 Objects
Rather than observing something for 60 minutes, I think that it would be more interesting if I observed 60 objects, each object for a minute long. There would be no better place to do this than at home. I will relate everything to the typical student house and what makes the typical student house. I will use objects that belong to my housemates and I.
60 Minutes Brief
Observe (in any way you feel appropriate) something for 60 minutes. We want to see that you are looking closely and really engaged in the act of observation.
